Door

What my "new" door looks like now....(It's not the exact door... I forgot to copy the picture before they took down the ad... but the door is the exact same...)

What I hope it looks like soon....
I was going to do the dutch door for my basement first
(I'll tell you about it another time)
but this one is PERFECT for a headboard- so I'll just keep looking for cheap wood doors.
Thank you KSL.

Two

Just a few weeks late- I'm getting better.
Brother turned two.
He acts two, walks two, talks two, and is stubborn two. But we love him. Lots.

Play on Words

Brother comes in first thing in the morning and climbs all over us to wake us up. The other morning he was sitting on King's back trying to wake him up when he slid off and fell on the bed. Then he said, "I falling asleep."
Pretty funny for a two year old.
When we laughed, he repeated this over and over and over...

Blessing

Yesterday we blessed the little lady and it was a great day! We had my brother snap a few pictures before we went to church and this is my favorite (it came from an awful family picture- but it was great of these two). Mason, unprompted, leaned over and gave sister a kiss. Since we missed getting it on camera the first time, this one was prompted. Looking at this and watching my son love his little sister reminds me just how blessed I am to have these two sweet children.

Sewing until Midnight

My mom is an angel- you can take that literally. We've been wanting new curtains to lighten up our big room. Not only did she go shopping with me (and the two kids) but she then CAME HOME with me and helped me sew till midnight. What do you think- not so dark ey?
The "Before" shot:
It was beautiful, but really dark.

PS Does anyone know someone who wants to buy my old ones?

Crafty

... I'm not. BUT, I did actually make something I'm proud of. (They're capes if you can't tell. I know, I know, I should have rotated the picture...) They are for Mason's birthday (in a week). But since he doesn't have the concept of keeping presents secret yet, we've played with them a few times. I even wore one around the house to feel like super mom. It worked. Not quite sure what this face is... stunned super-hero look? They are super cool to dance in too...
And if you ask him to smile...

Limbo.

New baby means there is a pack in play in our room. However, the baby sleeps in a bassinet (which we then place on the pack-in-play). Mom (that's me) has been commanded by the doc to drink inordinate amounts of water and thus lugs around a huge jug of water everywhere. When it was time for bed, I heaved this jug into the pack in play where I could reach it in the middle of the night (not by baby). Dad - after taking pictures of the cute baby, tossed the camera in the pack in play. Water spilled somehow sometime during the night and wasn't discovered until 3 am when I wanted a drink. Hence, the camera is now being thoroughly dried. I hope that works....

Belated

King turned... well, maybe he'd prefer I didn't tell you how old, but he got officially older about two weeks ago. Mason made him a birthday crown out of a paper plate. King smiled graciously at my attempt at his birthday gift. That's all I have to say about it. So, albeit late- Happy Birthday King! We love you!
*picture explanation... its the most recent one I have...
