My Mister Right.

Dad or not, you've always been the perfect Mr. Right for me.
Watching you as a Dad has just improved you.
Thanks for taking such good care of us.
You are a great husband and father.
(FYI: This is Brother. Below is Sister. He just wore the same shirt both days...)

In fact, I think you are the best.

Ta Da!

I made a bag. Don't look too close- admire from afar.

Versitile Song

Brother's favorite song is currently "Old McDonald."
At our house, he not only has a farm, he has a zoo,
"Giraffe... munch munch. Hippo... stomp, stomp."
a car lot, "truck...zoom, zoom. "
... pretty much anything can be substituted into the song. Dinosaurs, mommies, Daddies, sisters, etc.
Last night he chose that song to sing before bed. 90% of the time before he goes to bed we sing, "I am a Child of God." Hence, last night's verse went like this: Mind you- he sung this ON HIS OWN.
"Old McDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O. And on his farm he had a.... I am a child of God.... (ok..?) E-I-E-I-O. With a..... take a nap here, and a take a nap there.... E-I-E-I-O."
Now I've heard it all. Clever kid.

I heart Kirby salesmen.

Since we've been in our home (a year and a half) three, count 'em, THREE Kirby salesman have come by. They've all offered to vacuum and shampoo a room for free if we listen to their spheal. Ok! Twice they've cleaned the dining room carpet (and the second time they even vacuumed downstairs to prove a point) and today when one came by we told them up front we wouldn't buy unless it was a RIDICULOUSLY low price (which we named). Ok, but they'll still clean a room. So this time we had them clean the BIG room. Who needs a carpet cleaner? This is great!
PS: The Kirby now functions as:
a vacuum, a carpet shampooer, a leaf-blower, a sander (with vacuum attached), a massager, a couch buffer and much much more. It's great! Just not worth the $2500.

Hat

Disclaimer:
1. I've never made one before.
2. It's impressive because its reversible. Agree with me.
3.a. I had no pattern
3.b. He wasn't there to try it on, so I didn't even have a model.

That being said, meet "Hat."
Part fisher, part Indiana Jones, part clown. Sorry hat, you just don't look that great.
Truth be told, he'd rather not wear it and just get a sunburn.

We're 0 for 3.
No rice cereal, bananas, or in this case, applesauce.Brother, of course, is something close to 0 for 11,000. Here's his ogre face.

Home away from home.

In the last four hours we've managed two trips for King, two trips for me, and somehow, we still don't have all the right sprinkler parts. The lady at customer service smiled when she saw me. "Got the wrong part again?" (Do I really need to respond to that?) I even asked for help. Maybe people like us are the reason they're so busy.
